This digital hymnal is designed for Dholuo-speaking Seventh-day Adventist members, congregations, and worshipers worldwide. We deeply respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in full compliance with the Google Play Store Developer Policies, Apple App Store Guidelines, and international data protection standards.

Wende Nyasaye operates with a privacy-by-design architecture:

  • Optional Account Data: When you optionally create an account to synchronize your worship notes and favorites across devices, we store your email address securely using Supabase Authentication. Registration is entirely optional—the app is fully usable in guest mode without creating an account.
  • Personal Worship Data: Hymns marked as favorites (wende ma ihero), personal worship reflections, preacher quotes, and custom song lists.
  • Offline Cached Content: Hymn lyrics, numbers, and index metadata stored locally on your device so that congregational singing continues without requiring internet connectivity.
  • No Sensitive Data: We do not collect GPS location, phone contacts, microphone recordings, camera feeds, device identifiers, or financial information.

3. Device Permissions & Usage / Ruhusa mag Gik

The app requests only minimal, necessary system permissions:

  • Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Used solely to synchronize your personal notes with Supabase cloud storage and fetch official hymn text updates.
  • Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to verify connectivity status before attempting cloud sync.
  • Local Storage (Storage): Used to cache hymn texts locally on your device for fast offline access during church services.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure & Cloud Security / Gik Mag Ji Mamoko

  • Cloud Infrastructure: We utilize Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in secure cloud infrastructure for encrypted authentication and database storage.
  • Multi-Tenant Row-Level Security (RLS): All user records are partitioned by app_id: 'wende-nyasaye'. User data is strictly isolated and cannot be accessed across different applications.
  • No Commercial SDKs: We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs, commercial trackers, or marketing analytics tools.

5. Zero Data Sale Policy / Ok Wato Data

Adventist Technologies does not sell, lease, rent, trade, or monetize your personal data to any third-party advertisers, brokers, or external entities under any circumstances. This application is 100% free of commercial advertisements (No Ads).

6. User Rights & Data Deletion / Gonyo Akaunti gi Data

In compliance with Google Play Data Safety requirements:

  • In-App Data Management: You can add, edit, or remove individual hymn favorites and notes directly inside the application at any time.
  • Permanent Account & Data Deletion: If you have created an account and wish to permanently delete your account and all associated cloud records, you may do so either from within the app settings or by submitting a deletion request to samaricha001@gmail.com. All associated records will be permanently purged within 48 hours.

Wende Nyasaye is intended for general religious worship and family use, including children participating in Sabbath School and church services. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
