Welcome to SDA Hymnal, developed and operated under the Adventist Technologies initiative. We are dedicated to providing Seventh-day Adventist members and worshippers worldwide with a reliable digital hymnal companion. We value your trust and are committed to protecting your personal privacy in accordance with global data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) and mobile app store developer policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a personalized worship and study experience:

• Account Information (Optional): If you create an account to synchronize your records across devices, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via our secure backend. Guest mode is fully supported without creating an account.
• Personal Worship Data: Hymn favorites, custom personal prayer notes, reading history, and custom collections you save within the app.
• Local Device Cache: Hymn lyrics, sheet music indices, and audio accompaniment caches stored locally on your device to ensure offline church worship without an active internet connection.
• Technical & Diagnostics Data: Anonymous crash reports and standard device metrics (device model, operating system version) to diagnose technical bugs and improve application reliability. We do not track location or device identifiers for advertising purposes.

3. Device Permissions Requested

The application may request the following device permissions solely to support core functionality:

• Internet Access (Network): To synchronize saved favorites, download hymn updates, and stream audio accompaniments when connected.
• Storage / File Access: To store downloaded hymn data and audio accompaniments for offline church worship.
• Audio Playback: To play musical accompaniments and choral recordings within the app.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not use advertising networks, behavioral analytics SDKs, or data brokers. We utilize only trusted, enterprise-grade infrastructure to host our services:

• Supabase (Database & Authentication): Houses our encrypted backend databases and OAuth authentication services using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure your records are never shared with or exposed to other users or applications.
• Content Delivery Networks (CDN): Delivers static hymn audio files securely with HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption.

5. Zero Data Monetization & Advertising Policy

Adventist Technologies operates under sacred principles of Christian stewardship. We do not sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal information or worship records to advertisers, data brokers, or commercial third parties under any circumstances. There are no commercial advertisements in SDA Hymnal.

6. User Rights, Data Retention & Account Deletion

You maintain complete ownership and control over your personal data:

• In-App Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated cloud records (favorites, notes, playlists) directly inside the application settings at any time.
• Web-Based Deletion Request: If you do not have the app installed, you can request immediate, permanent deletion of your account and personal records by emailing samaricha001@gmail.com. All associated records will be permanently purged from our database within 48 hours.
• Local Data Clearing: You can clear local offline data at any time through your device application settings or by uninstalling the app.

7. Children Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

SDA Hymnal is designed for congregational worship, Sabbath School, and family devotionals. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The application does not contain social messaging, public forums, or unmoderated communications. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us at samaricha001@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the data.

8. Security of Your Information

All communications between the SDA Hymnal application and our servers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS). Database records are encrypted at rest with AES-256 encryption.

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect application improvements or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted to this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date.
